Vittorio, head of the family run restaurant has a passion for his native country ITALY and everything Italian.  His love of good food, wine, music (and football) has been clearly translated into creating a little bit of Italy on Stow Hill.

Since the restaurant was first established in 1988 it has undergone a number of enhancements and additions including the  recently expanded and refurbished bar area.  For the corporate customer, we have a separate function room which is equipped with projector and screen making it the ideal venue for private parties and conferences alike.  This room is also ideal for small parties of up to 35 people.   

We have a very varied menu with both traditional and more modern Italian dishes.  Our wines include a selection of good wines from the recommended house wines to the more famous Italian Barolo and Amarone classic wines.   Prices range from £4 for a starter course and £10 for main courses which makes Vittorios exceptionally good value indeed.

The restaurant is very much a family business.  You will most likely be greeted by a family member and at times can still hear the live accordion music played by Vittorio’s wife, Laura.   Anna, Vittorio’s youngest daughter,  is tasked with the everyday running of the business.   She is always conscious of maintaining her father’s high standards and is supported by a dedicated team.

Our philosophy is to ensure all customers are made to feel welcome and enjoy their visit to Vittorio’s whether it be an informal night out or a special occasion.
